A Dynamic Duo

These two are headed out to MY first customer. When I purchased the business just over 7 years ago I received a list of previous customers, they are great and I love having them, but there is a special place in my heart for the first customer that I won over and sold costumes to all on my own.

She takes Princesses out to ball games and other events in Iowa. It has been a few years since she needed anything new but look for these Princesses this summer!

I think my first Chinese Princess went really well. I lucked into amazing fabrics that have a lot of texture and subtle design elements that add a lot to this costume. 

It is a 5 piece outfit, shirt, obi, sash, double layered skirt and wrap.  

The Chinese Princess is $450.

Purple Princess

I did another Purple Princes, this one had bigger beads and dark purple cording detail.

Even though there were less beads it still took a long time to get them all on! Luckily this time I was "watching" the Olympics while I sewed.

 

This dress was sent later than expected. I received the measurements late, which pushed the whole project back. I can't sew a dress without knowing what size it needs to be.
