Halloween!

My sweet 3 yr old chose to be a ballerina, when I asked what kind of ballerina she wanted to be I expected her to say pink, or blue or sparkly.
She looked thoughtful for a moment and then said "A Cinderella ballerina."She loved the dress we made. She picked out fabrics and checked on the progress all along the way.
I only made the over shirt for my 11 yr old. She loves Pokemon and had another costume in mind but wasn't in love with the idea. When she settled on Ash, she loved her choice.
My 14 yr old LOVES Once Upon A Time.
She chose Belle as her costume and it fits her personality very well.
If you want to keep up on what I'm working on every day check me out on Facebook.

Princess Beauty

I did a side zipper and only lace ups in the back of this dress.
Makes adjusting and dressing yourself much easier.

There's no place like home...

This Beauty and Cinderella have been back ay my house for some TLC the last month or so.
They are headed home today and Dorothy went with them.
She has sparkly trim, a slip for fullness and lace around the bottom of the skirt!

I'm working on The Music Man for a local community theater company, now through the middle of June.
It's going to be great, and I'm learning all about fashion from 1912, I love it!!

A new look for an old Beauty

This dress is about to be 6 years old. It came from a different era of dress making. I've evolved in my talent and improved in my method since then, at least I'd like to think so. The client sent the dress and some reference photos for me to work with and after I changed how I was doing the over skirt twice it came out really well.

Painting the roses yellow

This Princess Beauty order came with a couple of tweaks. The client asked for the roses and gems to be a darker yellow, like the dress. At first I said the roses couldn't be a darker color, the store has a limited selection. Then it occurred to me, the store has spray paint. I can make them any color I want. They look great and came out really close to the dress color. With the gems in yellow the bling on the shoulder sway is more subtle, and comes off softer.

Princess Beauty

Another dress for Australia, it's always nice when a dress turns out just the way you planned it.
