This dress is about to be 6 years old. It came from a different era of dress making. I've evolved in my talent and improved in my method since then, at least I'd like to think so. The client sent the dress and some reference photos for me to work with and after I changed how I was doing the over skirt twice it came out really well.

Christmas sewing!
I make dresses for my girls every year, sometimes I've gone big, and other times they've been simple. Now that I have a big age range I try to make them "match" without making the 12 year old look babyish or the 9 month old look too grown up.This year I chose jewel tones and black lace, each girl got her own dress, all their bling matched, it was beaded trim I found at my favorite fabric store.
They also got Christmas pj's, usually they are store bought but their Grandma who buys them is out of the country. So I made them from fabric she gave, I thought it was a nice way to carry on the tradition.
