My Project

Each year my children's school has career day. I think it's fun to talk about what I do so I go every year. I also make something for myself to wear, it's the only time I ever do. I think my project looks great on my dress form but sadly my body doesn't look like that.

I included a few elements I've wanted to try in the past like the "ribbon" sleeves, they were as hard and as expensive as I thought they would be. The skirt is seriously full, it took 5 yards, usually I use 3. It also has an overlay to add a little sparkle to it. I borrowed Ashlee's lace on the sleeve cuff, and her cape choice, they look great! The side front panels look darker because I accidentally cut them the other direction on the fabric. Oops! And yes I will iron it before I wear it on Thursday. :)
